Do you notice a theme? Many of these students are now scholarship recipients and music majors at well-known colleges and universities. Virtually all of the trumpet players in all levels of the local Youth Symphony have been my students. At times, nearly one-half of the trumpet section in the Nor-Cal Honor Band has been comprised of my students. I was the trumpet audition tape judge for that ensemble for over 5 years and assisted in choosing the trumpet audition music currently used for that ensemble.
